Bulky waste collection service
The bulky household waste collection is a chargeable service when you have rubbish that is too big for your bin.
This includes items such as old furniture, heavy white goods for example, washing machines, fridge-freezers and other large household items.
Before you ask us to collect an unwanted item, can you get rid of it another way?

if it's in good condition, give it to someone who could use it

if you can get it there, take it to your nearest recycling centre

If you think it could be repaired, advertise it on Freecycle or Freegle often used by charitable organisations looking to give almost anything a second lease of life
The costs
It costs £25 for us to collect up to 3 items. If you have more than 3 items, the additional items will cost an extra £5 per item. Payments must be made with either a credit or debit card at the time of booking.

Bulky collections can only be made from properties that can be accessed by a 3.5 tonne vehicle. If you are unsure whether your property can be accessed by a vehicle of this size, please get in touch with us before making a booking either by email recycling@stroud.gov.uk or by telephone 01453 766321 Option 2
You will receive an email confirmation of booking and receipt for your payment after the payment has been successfully completed.
We do not offer concessions for this service and once payment has been received it is a non-refundable.
What happens when I book a collection?
Once you make your booking using the link below, we will give you a definite day of collection. Your booked waste should be left outside your home by 8am, making sure all the items can be easily seen by our collection team and not blocking the public highway and is easily accessible/as close to curtilage of the highway as possible.
