Second homes

Second homes are classed as properties which are furnished but not occupied as anyone's main home. No discount is awarded.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - WITH EFFECT FROM 1 APRIL 2025

A 100% PREMIUM WILL BE ADDED TO THE SECOND HOME CHARGE.

Notice is hereby given that at a full Council meeting on 22 February 2024, Stroud District Council made the following determination for the whole of the district.

Second Home properties that are furnished but where no one lives as their main residence, shall be charged the following premium, increasing the council tax charge whilst it remains in such a condition.

100% premium effective from 1^st April 2025
